Application Interface Design (PAA) is a compulsory course held in the third semester for level 2 students of the D3 Informatics Engineering Study Program with a credit load of 3 credits. This course is one of the compulsory courses in the 2016 curriculum
This course has a load of 3 credits with the provisions of 2 credits of theory and 1 credit of practice, so that in its implementation this course only has 4 meeting hours with a composition of 2 hours of theory and 2 hours of practice in class.
This course is a compulsory course, in the previous curriculum this course was named Human and Computer Interaction, because the Diploma Program focuses more on the implementation of the Application, the interface design approach is emphasized so that the course name changes to Application Interface Design.
This course focuses on discussing how to design application interfaces in stages from various aspects of design. Starting from the method, design process and principles of application interface design and its role in realizing software applications that are appropriate and useful for users. In this lecture, it is also explained about various current interface design trends on various devices.
PAA lecture material that defines the process per stage in designing interfaces, each stage produces design output that can be evaluated by lecturers so that it is expected to be able to provide direction and a clear enough picture for students in designing the interface of an application. The material begins with Step 1: Understanding the User to Step 14: Testing the interface design.
The Application Interface Design course is an entry-level core course in software development. After students are equipped with an understanding of algorithms, web design, this course is a course that focuses on application interface design.
The following Curriculum Organigram shows the relationship of the Information Technology Project Management course with other courses

The prerequisite for the course Design of application interfaces according to the 2016 Curriculum organigram is Algorithm Implementation, while the courses that require prerequisites for the course Design of application interfaces are Software Engineering and Information Technology Project Management.

In outline, the application interface design course is described in the application interface design stages which are broken down into topics for 14 weeks of meetings, including:
This e-learning-based learning scenario will use the Flip Classroom approach, where students have been given complete enough content to read lecture notes (slides), then can independently work on assignments and quizzes. If there is material that is not understood, discussions will be held according to student questions in class. So that the class will focus on discussions on deepening the material. Discussions can also be done online by using the Forum facility whose topic has been determined.
