
Front Office Operations I (DHH1A3) is a core vocational course given in the first semester of the 2016 curriculum. This course is a compulsory course in the D3 Hospitality Study Program at Telkom University. This course consists of 14 subjects with a weight of 3 credits consisting of 2 credits of theory and 1 credit of practicum.
The Front Office Operations I course teaches about the Basic Knowledge of the Accommodation Business (knowledge of lodging Industry), and an introduction to work operations at the hotel front office. In practicum activities, students will learn about communicating on the telephoneand room reservation. The course material is given with the aim of students understanding matters relating to the accommodation business, especially hotel front office operations, through telephone communication skills and handling the room reservation process.

The Front Office Operations I course provides basic knowledge of the accommodation industry and hotel front office work operations. In addition, this course equips students with skills in the field of hotel front office, especially in communicating by telephone and booking hotel rooms both in terms of knowledge and practice.
The front office operations course has existed since the beginning of the D3 hospitality study program was established in 2014 at Telkom University. At first the course had a weight of 2 credits, then with consideration of the weight of the practicum it became 4 credits. In the preparation of the 2016 curriculum this course changed to 3 credits with the same weight as other core vocational courses.
Urgensi mata kuliah Operasional Kantor Depan I merupakan mata kuliah inti kejuruan Program Studi D3 Perhotelan yang merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang wajib dimiliki setiap mahasiswa.
