Cource Identity
This course provides an understanding and understanding of public speaking, types of public speaking writing and practicum of public speaking both directly and utilizing virtual technology according to the development of the 4.0 era to generate self-confidence and be able to apply the art of public speaking.
Course Profile and History
Public Speaking content courses have been studied in Telkom University Communication Science Study Program in 2008, then in the 2016 curriculum this course was produced to strengthen courses that are towards Public Speaking with consideration of Public Speaking Skills are needed for Communication practitioners. In the ability to speak publicly, research is needed to obtain valid data, related to the information to be conveyed, so that students can learn to do deep research for the purpose of speaking in public. Today, the content of this course is developing by adding virtual public speaking material for the Digital Content Broadcasting Study Program.
Course Relevance (Urgency)
This compulsory course is given to 2nd semester students of Digital Content Broadcasting Study Program, Faculty of Communication and Business, Telkom University. This course aims to provide experience to students in conducting virtual public speaking, so that students can understand the differences in conveying information with strategies and techniques along with clear objectives.
