WELCOME TO ONLINE LEARNING IN DATABASE SYSTEMS COURSE

Course Profile
This course is present in the 2020 curriculum of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Informatics. In this course, we study the basic concepts and architecture of database systems, file and index structures, query processing, transaction processing, and database recovery.

Competencies in this course can be used in managing database systems
This course is a foundation in data management that supports the performance of intelligent systems in processing data and producing information appropriately (consistently) and efficiently.
Relevance of this course to other courses (prerequisites)
Before taking this course, students must have an understanding of databases and what queries can be executed to meet business needs. Furthermore, in this course, students learn how to manage databases to meet these business needs.

Based on experience since 2016, the best way to learn is by doing the assignments given (project based learning). For concept understanding, the best way to learn is to create a mind mapping concept and then present it through a video presentation or oral presentation.
